e.g.  At the harvesting time, most of the villagers would abandon themselves to wining, eating and even singing folk songs after dark.

2.To be abashed at… 因…而感到惭愧、窘迫、不好意思

e.g. Sandra was very abashed at the sight that all the participants were wearing a formal dress while she was in mini-skirt.

3.To take up one’s abode with/in…  和…住在一起；住在…

e.g. Sandra’s mother became very much abashed at the news that her daughter has taken up her adobe with a guy she got acquainted with only recently.

4.To abound in/with… 充满，盛产…；有大量的…
